The thing is, we are older. Not super old or anything, but we are almost 40. I also have some health issues that came with the package, including high blood pressure, hyperthyroid, and asthma. As my doctor put it, "You are a little special, but nothing we can't handle."
Luckily for me, a few cousins of mine were ahead me in the game, by just a few months! It is nice to know that by next Christmas my dude will have little people to play with his age.
This blog is kind of a written record of my pregnancy, albeit started a little late in the game. If you read it and enjoy it too, I will be so excited! But I wanted to have a place as well, for me to keep some of these memories, and then to later actually blog about the boy and parenthood, for posterity as well.
I am a midwestern gal, from the mitten state living near Detroit with my husband, and English Setter, and three cats. You can check them out on my Penny and the Cats page, if you want.
In my spare time, I love outdoorsy things, live a crunchy granola type lifestyle, play with animals and feed stray cats on my porch, travel and photography, which I do in addition to my day job. I dream of grand adventures in Italy and France.
**Please note that anything I may mention regarding my health and doctor and treatment is not medical advice at all, just my own experience.
